We race into August with the topic of transportation! From cars and bicycles, to boats and aeroplanes, there is so much to discuss about the many forms of transportation humanity has developed over the years. With the birth of the first automobile in 1886 when Carl Benz applied for his “vehicle powered by gas engine” patent, and the first successful flight of the Wright brothers’ 1903 Wright Flyer, almost no sign of modern transportation existed 100 years ago. Now, Elon Musk is working on commercializing space travel. There’s no telling where we’ll be in another 100 years.
