From Up and Down, and Left and Right, to Big and Small, and Day and Night. It’s time to talk about opposites.
With the lesson on creepy crawlies over (to the relief of many children…), we move on to something a bit more philosophical; opposites. It’s not something we think about much, but there are many things that we primarily understand in contrast to something else. It would be hard to understand day without night, and good without evil, so we’ve started this week to introduce the children to the idea of opposites. We’ll start by looking at which opposite words they already know and build a sound foundation from there for further education.
